none – why should such a thing be available for free – if you are too cheap to pay for something that seems to be important to you, maybe not even willing to pay the same as a date and a movie, then is it really important to you at all?
No such thing as a free, in depth, background check. You will have to pay for that.

I am afraid I have to agree with the guys above here as there are no way to get a complete and comprehensive check for free.
I searched high and low when I was looking for a background check on my boyfriend a good while back and none was completely free. You can however do a free preliminary search at the SmartBac site below and if anything interesting shows up you can do a full check for a few bucks.
If these kinds of checks were completely free people would be checking their neighbours and their cats all of the time. I would say that a background check should not be conducted unless you feel there is a good solid reason for it and if you do have a good solid reason I know I would rather pay a few bucks, at least, to get updated true and accurate information than some outdated info you might get for free.
