The first link is how the VA rates those conditions. Here’s how the VA works. When you file a claim, the VA will go to your military medical records and see if and when you were ever treated for that condition. Then they check with your VA hospital records to see how and what treatment you are receiving. Here is where it gets interesting. The more you complain about it, the more attention you’ll get. You have to show in some way how badly this condition disables you.

Second link is the DAV. You didn’t say you have a Veterans Representative or not so I’m going with not. Find your nearest National Service Office, it’s usually in the same building as the VA benefit office. There are Vet Reps at the VA hospital and at your county offices. Get yourself a Vet Rep and they will get this taken care of.

Just for future reference for you and all the other vets out there, never file a claim directly with the VA. Always use a Vet Rep.
