I m an australian and dont know much of their history apart from films and documentaries. I find I cant stomach it. It makes me angry and makes me cry. I cant believe the atrocities heaped on native americans in the past and present. I dont know what can done its just beyond my understanding. My mum was white and my father was filipino and his people also lived in tribal groups and clans. He was a tausug, and Im soooo PROUD of my racial heritage. I dont understand why people hate other people just because they are different, I have never been able to figure it out and Im 50 now. It beats me!!!

It makes me realize that the making of this country was in blood of the Indians. And there is a great lie in our culture that portrays the heroic military fighting off the savages. It’s sad but true, our ancestors brutalized a nation.
