Where can I find a used, reasonably priced Blue Ribbon Western saddle? Need 14 & half or 15 inch seat?
I rode as well as showed quarterhorses most of my life. Haven’t ridden in about seventeen years, though still skip it bland of my life. we do not own a horse, though have multiform offers not long ago to float friends horses. we have tryed Ebay as well as most alternative sources to try to find a sincerely labelled Blue Ribbon Western saddle,as we feel we would be some-more secure starting up again in my own saddle, as well as we rode in Blue Ribbon saddles a final 10 years of my riding. They gave me improved change as well as security, though have been incompetent to find a single we can afford. we do not wish to deposit alot, in one, as we will be usually roving occasionally, not in a uncover ring similar to we used to be.
The saddle would especially be used for only funplesure riding.

In my opinion, you will NOT find a low priced Blue Ribbon saddle unless you are extremely lucky, the saddle has serious damage, or someone has no idea of their value. If you go onto Blue Ribbon’s website you will see the cost of their saddles begins at $3000 and quickly goes upwards. Because they are well made saddles they retain their value and do not sell for a low price.
One option you might consider is email Blue Ribbon themselves as ask about the cost of a working saddle. They do have some listed, and I note that they will often sell them slightly less than the website price list. I think you can buy a plain working saddle (without any fancy silver) for $2700 or so.
If you don’t want to pay that much, than I’d suggest you look around for lower priced saddles that have equitation seats. You may find some good deals on local custom made saddles, too, if the saddle maker isn’t a big name person. I bought my Billy Cooke saddle for $1000 and it is in brand new shape, and while its no where as lovely as Blue Ribbon it works for me and my horse.
Happy shopping.
